Charles Gotthard sculptor and creative architect extraordinaire!

Charles was born in 1951 and qualified in architecture ceramics, which has allowed him to get very involved with architectural ceramics, which has allowed him to get very involved with architecture, one of his passions! He enjoys designing with architects and some of his biggest projects are:

He enjoys teaching and has combined this with art therapy in which he uses clay and music called “A Journey into self-discovery” this enables the corporate pupils to completely forget themselves and become childlike and play with clay and music, a very successful way of bringing creativity into the corporate world. Charles also loves designing for the private clients and has created several interesting art pieces in this way from black amours to life-size Friesian Horses; one of his latest commissions was painting a 55sq.m. Dome with horse chariots and angels, a 12 seated glass table being supported by 5 seated figures, his smaller series sculptures such as the Tortoise Man, Man of Myth, Hoboseries etc. are fetching high prices on the art market.

A tribute to his creative genius is the beautiful Goblins Cove Restaurant – the website speaks for itself and now his very latest project called, La Provence D’Afrique, which is built inside his 400sq.m studio, these are going to be accommodation with all the little extra’s to turn it into something out of the ordinary; “Little bit of provence in Africa”. With all his love for the old, detail and architecture, this will be a dream come true.

With all these special venues a visit to the Gotthards in Magaliesburg is an absolute must! Only 65km from Jhb.

We're glad to announce that we will be giving sculpture and painting courses on SPECIAL until SEPTEMBER arrival on Monday mornings starting classes at 9.30, booking into our lovely guesthouses, dinner at 7o' clock with a discussion on everyone's view on what they want to achieve for the week!

The course will run from 9am till 4.30pm daily ,with a lunch hour from 1pm till 2pm
Departure on friday morning after breakfast!

Art Courses Dates:
Dates are to your own choice, if your’e a group of 8 min the Teacher/ORGANISER comes for free,

We can also do a mid week special ARRIVAL Tuesday DEPART Thursday at 4pm @ R2500

We are also including a full body massage during the WEEK ‘s course as part of the package @ R2,995 for the week all inclusive (sharing)-- private suites will cost R3,995 in La Provence, 'Out of Africa' cottages will be R2995 sharing vat & all meals inclusive.

There will be a bar available every evening and a fun meal at Goblins Cove on the Thursday evening!
Those who want to come with their own group min 8-- can choose their own dates!
